Songs of the Blue
By Saeed Saeedpour

Why poetry?

Upon the dead waters of pearl (1975)

The wind’s song

Upon the dead waters of pears

Genesis

Tale

Sunset

Autumn

Sometimes alone

The parks

The black multifoliate rose

Spectacle

The silence

The endurable

Come seize hang

The hour flowers

Brag verse

White crows (1990)

just like

presence

sudden

the visits

the spell

the visitation

autumnal

white crows

the trip

the moment

Handful of cold light (2000)

Poem to sea

Phantom

Love,yea love

Promenade

And we

Handful of cold light

The bird

Ask the fish

In the beginning was the word

Evening

Something dubious in dawn

…and the word was God

This ship wrecked ashore

So sudden

Epigraph

Sketch

Morning

Not even nothing

No longer red

Autumn

Oneness

Of which half

Might have been not

Being there

In the moments of stone

The evening

You too?

Ladder in the desert (2006)

Poem to poets

On the wood’s counter

Ticking

Address 1

Address 2

Falling in

Silence I like

The cactus

Zero or 13

The safest of windows

The sky and I

Absence

(2007-2010)

Peacock

Getting used

Truth crowded

Autumns

Looks yet like naught

The tree and dawn

Is and not

Blue warning

On a scroll in invisible lnk

عادت کرده ایم

عادت کرده ام
به شنیدن این صداها:
قناریهای خاموش
کنج قفس نشسته

عادت کرده ام :
برگهای ساکن
در بعد از ظهر های تابستان
و خورشید غروب

Getting used

Im used to:
Hearing this sound:
The canary
Silent, weary
Seated in the cage

Im used to:
Still leaves
In summer afternoons
And the evening sun
